Corduba
Córdoba was founded as a Roman settlement in the 2nd century BC and became the capital of the province of Baetica. Seneca the Younger and the poet Lucan were both born here.
Most of it is underneath. The bridge keeps the Roman line across the river, the temple was found during work on the city hall in the 1950s, and the Roman theatre — among the largest in the Roman west — is shown in the basement of the archaeological museum.
Seeing the layer
