The temple dates from the 1st century and was found in the 1950s during work on the city hall. What stands now is a partial reconstruction using original material, raised on the podium where the temple stood.
⭐ It is viewed from the street and costs nothing. Ten minutes is plenty, and it is on the way between the Corredera and the northern part of the old city.
It is the clearest surviving reminder that this was Corduba, capital of a Roman province, centuries before the caliphate.
